We are steadfast in this road of dakwah. Encouraging people to do goodness and preventing people from doing harms on earth. We are hardworking “Da’i”. Giving our best with our own unique specialities. Contributing for our beloved ummah. And we, like any other muslim, faithfully hope for Allah blessings in return. So why do we need to have good grades?
Today’s campus life we see the one who seems strong spreading the words of Allah, the hadith of the prospect, are the one to be left behind in terms of academics. Not all of course. These people devote their life towrds Islam, and they are among the busiest among undergraduates. As to say their move Islam. Trying to touch the life of others that seems to still be lost without aims to achieve in life. And with no aim, there will be no motivations. And with no motivation, there will never be any effort to improve oneself.
My friends. Let remind ourselves and open our eyes about “tarbhiah”. We often hear about it, talk about it, claim to be in it. But have we truly understand its true meanings. Literally, tarbhiah means molding. And In many instance, we take “tarbhiah” as only to mold ourselves to improve on our understandings towards Islam, improves our way of reciting the Quran, and to share our knowledge with others around us. And in return, praying in would strengthen our belief for this religion and catalyze our deeds. True. But conceptually, the meaning of “tarbhiah” is way broader than any of us can imagine. To have a strong believing heart is “tarbhiah”. To have good knowledge about Islam is “tarbhiah”. Do be able to perform the best of deeds. To be excellant in academics. To be strong physically and good at sports. To be a great leader. To have a respectable personality. Until one day people with question how is it possible to achieve such level? And our answer will only be one. Because of our “tarbhiah”! To set the standards and take a leading role in everything. Of course, some may say that we are born with different talents. But can we be satisfied if we fail to at least try to give our best in everything?
Exams. Most will take it lightly. “By hook or crook” as long as we pass, insyaAllah everything will be okay. But our religion is complete. And academics is another battlefield for our dakwah. We pray as hard, work as hard. And may our achievement signifies the strength of our ummah. So I bring this message to all, Islam needs good achievers. And those good achievers, are you!!

Surah Ali 'Imran

Assalammualaikum W.B.T.
I almost forgot how fun it is to write. MEMOIRS OF ASYRAF have treasure many great stories of my life. Every now and then, when I read back on all the things I had wrote, I started smilling at myself. How beautiful this life that ALLAH has grant for me. Alhamdulillah, as I grow older, I begin to understand little by little of all the things I had experience before. Every happiness, every sadness.. For every tears, joy and fears along the way.. At times I would take a stand and spun into action confidently.. At times when I didn't know what to do.. I guess that is just normal.. For us to learn on every mistakes, every wrong decisions, every triumph and every satisfaction.. As we look for a better person inside.. To grow and enslaves ourselves to Allah.. And cheerish our love ones with joy and laughter..
This blog had been a benchmark for me.. Of how far I have come.. As when post are edited and time pass by, I reflect upon myself. Did I improve on the way I think? Did I improve on the way I write?
Life had never been the same for me lately.. As if I starting to find myself again.. Experiencing new experiences, new challenges that demands great changes.. I was never a leader before.. Though I had some experience leading small groups of people, leading a large group is something I never knew.. So I fear I would fail as one.. And how I am going to be able to answer in front of Allah about my responsibilities.. As even smaller responsibilities I might had failed to carry it out well.. I even remembered not long before in the second year that I was thrembling when I was reciting the morning class prayers in front of the lecture hall..
Hadis Riwayat al-imam Muslim
A concern friend and senior gave me encouragement.. He lend me a book entitled "Who Moved My Cheese?" A book that tells an amazing story about how to adapt to changes in work and in life.
A story about four imaginary characters. The mices : Sniffy and Scurry and the Littlepeople : Hem and Haw who moves in a maze, searching to enjoy cheese.
Sometimes we may act like Sniffy, who sniffs out changes early, or Scurry, who scurries into action, or Hem, who denies and resists change as he fear it will lead to something worse, or Haw, who learns to adapt in time when he sees changing can lead to something better.
Having cheese makes you happy
CHANGES HAPPENS
They Keep Moving The Cheese
ANTICIPATE CHANGE
Get Ready For The Cheese To Move
IMAGINE CHANGE
Imagining yourself enjoying new cheese helps you to it
ENJOY CHANGE!
Savor the adventure and enjoy the taste of new cheese!
So I encourage myself
This is a path to give and make others happy
A path to unite people, and move them to common goal.. SUCCESS!!
All of us are leaders, and all of us will be questioned about our responsibilities to Allah, to our religion, to our family, and our friends..
And life becomes so much meaningful when we give something..
I know I don't have much.
Sometimes, I myself will get discourage and break down
But I will always have a good team of leaders with me
And I know they will always give the best
And everybody else will too
To work and support each other. And everybody can contribute to peoples's success in their own unique way
Allah sentiasa bersedia menolong hambaNya selagi mana dia suka menolong saudaranya...
Hadis riwayat al-imam Muslim

Assalammualaikum
Wowww.. finally a post for september..
In the past, I had been getting feedbacks from some friends that when it comes to writing in english they wouldn't care to read at all
The reason why I reduce my english writing and write more in Malay
However, may I stress that as important as mastering the arabic language, english is too
It is a skill
A way we can communicate with non-malay friends, patients, and doctors better
A way to earn their respect and interest in us as future muslim doctors
And knowledge as we know, will never be a waste to learn..
Besides, I have non-malay friends who prefer to read in english, so, I'll be using this language from time to time..
The holidays are eating me alive..
Too much of free times seems a little overwhelming for me to handle though I tried my best trying to fulfill it up with good things to do..
Yet, still, some precious seconds are wasted here and there
3rd year in medicine will be introducing itself soon..
Hopefully I can manage my commitments more systematically this time..
InsyaAllah, wishing to go relentless and all out..
My dad had always been my greatest inspiration
My siblings and I, we were 4 all together.. And when one of us seems to be slow in learning, we would push each other's back and encourage ourselve.. And since young, we were guided by dad to work hard and score more grades..
For dad, all of his siblings didn't even bother to excell in studies..
And all of them since before, works in the market and sell fishes for a living..
He alone, with a little bit of determination and will to change were able to break out of the cocoon of a mediocre life to continue his studies abroad in Manchester..
Now, living a life as a lecturer and earning the title of doctor of philosophy..
Mom said he was a slow learner, yet he studied hard and smart to get to where he is..
When there is a will, there will always be a way
Nonsense about having to be a genius to succeed
All you need is efforts, prayers and "tawakal" as to leave everything else to the Most Wise Allah S.W.T.
I have my inspiration here and Im sure everybody have theirs..
So start strong, FINISH strong..
For friends studying in egypt, lets all work hard for the coming 3rd year insyaAllah..
And friends studying in Malaysia, study hard too..
Dakwah is dakwah, studying to be an excellant doctor shouldn't be left behind..
Wishing the best for everyone..

What is being different all about?
Had just reached my 20th birthday.
Finally past my teens and reaching adulthood..
InsyaAllah, hopefully to be more matured in the way I think, the way I solve my everyday problems, to make wiser choices, to be more calm in the way I act, and most importantly, to fulfill my responsibilities as a servant to Allah, a son, a little brother, a big brother, a student, a friend more truely..
One of the best aspect for my birthday was that I receive birthday wishes from variety of friends.. Some from friends that I didn't keep in touch for awhile.. Old friends, and new friends..
Bringing me to realize that to have met many people from different races, different standards, different talents, different way of thinking and behavior truely is a blessing from Allah.. Learning something new from each of them..
We may not born with the same characteristic, the same attributes, the same personal backgrounds.. Contrasting in all sort of ways..
But to think that we were able to know and understand each other, working together, studying together, leading a organization together, playing together.. For every laughter, every sorrow, every achievements, every downfalls.. Everything, was always a privelage.. One that we are called to benefit from.. Cause that is what life is.. To grow and learned from each other.. To share specialties and shortcomings.. That is what being different is all about..
For all my ups and downs in lifes, I will always recall that I have great friends and great supports..
This much.. I say Thank You.. ^_^

Aku ingin terus menulis.
